Smithy’s Disco, is run by Steve and Claire Smith, with the sole purpose of providing high quality discos for Weddings and Birthdays in the South West.

I have been a DJ for just over 10 years, and in that time I have had the pleasure of playing to many different crowds in a variety of environments.  I have played  at Wedding Receptions in prestigious venues including Hotels, Marquees, Castles and private residences. As a result of this, I am familiar with the formalities and etiquette required, as well as having a vast array of knowledge and experience with styles of music from the 1940s to current chart and dance music.

Thank you so much for the disco you ran for our Ruby Wedding. We had a lot of really positive feedback from our guests. The choice of music and the level of volume was just right. Graham and I wish to thank you very much for the very hard work you put into providing the disco for the wedding evening of our daughter Joanne and son-in-law Ross on the 11th August 2012 at Old Down Manor.

The evening was a great success and much of this was due to the brilliant entertainment you gave us. We appreciated the planning that you put into it and the involvement we all had in selecting the music.

The dance floor was full with all the generations of friends and family, and the lights were spectacular. We have had great feedback from our guests.

We were impressed with the whole evening & how everything ran so smoothly. We had arranged a starting & finishing time & that worked very well. We have had only good feedback from the guests who all agreed what a good disco is was. The choice of music was just right & it was so nice to see so many people up & dancing from so early on. You were able to meet the requests of some of our guests &  was wholly agreed that great fun was had by all. You had come highly reccommended by Thornbury Golf Club & we can see why. We shall certainly pass on your name if we hear of anyone requiring an excellent DJ.

I just wanted to say thank you so very much for the fantastic disco you did for our Wedding Reception.

Everyone had a wonderful time & especially enjoyed the vast range of music played. Also we were all very impressed by the lights on your set, I have never seen such high tech lighting on a mobile disco service! Our flower girl took great delight in chasing the patterns on the dancefloor!

The request cards were a great idea. It was also fantastic that you kept in contact with us to check what sorts of music we liked & wanted played any favorites & our first dance song, always checking to make sure it was the correct song. Very professional.

I would not hesitate to contact you for any future functions we may have & have already in fact recommended you to friends & colleagues.

So thanks once again for making the evening so fantastic
